May is Mental Health Awareness Month- Mental Health is going through some major changes from now until July 2015. We are consolidating with 23 other counties along the coast from Virginia to South Carolina. We feel that a forum will help educate our consumer's of mental health, substance abuse, and intellectual disabilities that will fall into this new consolidation. Right now they are very confused where to go, what providers are available, and whether or not they even have health care, medicare, medicaid. Please reach out to us if you would like to be involved in planning this. We are in the planning stages of this and will have more details at our upcoming meeting in March.
